Wow, this has been a roller coaster of a week for me. At my 38 week appointment my Dr. stripped my membrane. When he did this with Maleea my water broke and I had her that night. So leaving the appointment we both joked with each other and said, "see ya tonight". Well that was almost three weeks ago. I have had contractions almost every night. I go to bed thinking that this could be the night. But NOPE! So for me this has seemed like a long process!
When my due date (Tues.) came and went I got a little frustrated! On Wed. night we had a false alarm and were sent home from the hospital. (Who sends a 40+ week pregnant lady home?) It was so hard to face the girls. They where not excited to see us without their baby sister.
Thurs. I had my appointment with my doctor. Still no changes. He order an ultrasound to make sure that the baby was still growing and had enough fluid around her. At the end of the appointment he said, "I will see you Monday." ARE YOU KIDDING! I want this baby this weekend! He is such a great Doctor and a good family friend. We have been talking about me going natural all along. He is really pushing for it, and wasn't going to let me give up that easy.
We had the ultrasound at 3:30p.m. It was so fun to see her. By 5:30 p.m. my Dr. called back and asked if I was ready to have the baby tomorrow (Friday)! He said that he was a little worried about her growth. All of her body measured 39+ weeks but her little abdomen only measured 34 weeks. He said that the abdomen is the 1st thing to stop growing. So he wanted to take her soon. He made the appointment for me to be induced. He said they would be calling between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the morning. It hit me hard that this was all really happening. And exactly opposite of how I have planned it. But I was SO EXCITED to see an end in site!
I made all of the arrangements for the girls and tried to sleep. I WAS SO EXCITED! By 4 a.m. I was done even trying to sleep. I finally got up at 5:30 a.m. HOPING I would get a 6 a.m. phone call. No luck. Mike left for work, I got the girls ready and the wait began. At 9:30 a.m. I FINALLY got a call. It was my Dr. He said that the hospital is SWAMPED and they are very behind. There are 2 ladies from yesterday that still need to be induced. Then there are 3 ladies ahead of me today, so...it will be sometime tonight or even in the morning. NO!!! No more waiting!
So, that is where we are right now. WAITING!

Thanks for the up date. I have been waiting all day for a phone call. So I called mom and dad and they weren't home. Sorry you have had to wait for so long. Your amazing! We love you and you are in our prayers. We can't wait to see her

Hey Honey! I am anxious to hear!! I am sorry you have had to wait . . . she wasn't quite ready! That was so cute about charging her rent. I love that picture of the girls kissing your belly too!
