Half Time Dance

LuLu LOVES dance! She LOVES the dance team and the cheerleaders at all of the games. She can't stop watching them. Jane Train on the other hand has ALWAYS been into sports and has never had an interest in dance.

Well today the college put on a little dance clinic. I thought that it would be fun for the girls. It was a couple hours in the morning to learn the dance, then they danced at half time of the football game. LuLu was so excited about it! But when I mentioned it to Jane Train the first words out of her mouth was, "NO!" I wasn't going to push that one. Our little cousin Avery was going to dance too.

Every day this week LuLu has asked if it is Saturday yet. " Is today the day I dance?" She is SO CUTE. Last night Jane Train came up to me and said, "I think I want to dance with sis tomorrow." I was SO EXCITED! Mostly that she had come to that decision on her own and no one was forcing her. She is such a shy little thing, I was worried that she would back out or have anxiety about it all day.

But it was just the opposite. It turned out to be such a positive thing for both of them. It boosted their self esteem so much, and made them feel so special. In their age group there where only four girls (so one other little girl beside our three). They where the stars of the night. You know the kind of applause the littlest kids always get. They where so cute. Me and Nicole where nearly in tears we where so proud of them. It was a FUN NIGHT! DIXIE won the football game which made it all that much better.

We took the girls out for ice cream after. Which made it a LONG night at our house with a sugar high at 10:00 p.m. but they earned it! We LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH!

Cute Cousins.

Sisters.

The only picture I got of the dance. I was trying to film it too.

The whole group.
