Summer Homework

So MJ is the brains behind most of our family! This is one of his cute ideas that has REALLY worked! A few weeks ago when the movie "UP" came out, he told the girls that he would take them to see it when they had finished 1,000 minutes of homework. So he made this chart with them (cricut and all). They have been working so hard toward their goal!

I walked in the office the other day and found LuLu standing on a stool. She was coloring the top of the chart. She looked at me and said, "LOOK MOM, now we can go to the movie!" I couldn't help but laugh. This must seem like and ETERNITY to her!

Ooops!

LuLu's homework.

Jane Train's homework.

This is another fun idea that MJ made. It is a chore chart to help the girls with their daily chores.

He is such a GREAT daddy! We LOVE him so much!!

What great ideas. Did he make the chore chart from scratch or did he find a template of some sort. Great ideas. I think I'll steal them for our house.

Those are great ideas. Homework and chores are always fun when you have something to look forward to. Good luck with it.

What cute ideas, I just sent Shaelynn to summer school with no rewards in the end.

To answer your questions: yes those are Dalens girls, we are in Spanish Fork taking them. The girls took together last year from the same girl when we lived there.

I love those ideas. How close are they to 1000? You are good to work with them everyday, I think I need a chart to remind myself.

That is s good idea. I think it is really good for kids to work for something. Then they will appreciate it a lot more. And remember it too.
I'm so excited to see you in a couple of weeks.
